The Piano program includes daily classes (beginning through advanced sections) in ensemble performance (duets), musicianship, and music history, as well as an evening piano seminar. The week ends with a solo piano recital. Two half-hour private lessons are included in the Piano program. Piano Campers can sign up for an additional set of two lessons. The program is open to students ages 10 through adult with at least two years of piano experience. Another opportunity for advanced high school pianists will be to collaborate with vocalists during Session 4. The Collaborative Voice and Piano faculty will select a few campers in the choir and piano programs to work together on repertoire for piano and voice. They will be coached together for one hour each day. These sessions are designed to teach the young musicians the intricacies of working together, and allow them opportunities to get immediate feedback and advice. Collaborative students perform on the Friday afternoon recital at the end of the session.
