About This Activity
The International Music Camp School of Dance offers two dance streams: Ballet/Modern and Jazz/Tap/Theatre Dance. These exciting and physically intensive programs offer campers an opportunity to work with other dancers and professional instructors from across the United States and Canada in one or two week experiences. The Dance Program is for dancers ages 12 through 19 with at least 2 years of dance experience. In addition to a minimum of two technique classes each day, all dancers spend time rehearsing for our Saturday performance and participating in a variety of supplemental activities. Past activities have included Pilates, Yoga, student choreography projects, musicianship for dancers, and viewing films of famous dancers and choreographers, as well as instruction on the application of stage make-up, and dance history. Pointe is also included for students already working on pointe.
