About This Activity
The Guitar camp takes place during Session 4. Different levels of instruction in a variety of styles including folk, classical, jazz, and rock are offered. The program covers basic chord technique and both pick and finger-style techniques, as well as solo and ensemble experiences. Campers may use either acoustic guitars or electric guitars (campers will need to bring their own amp). Although the IMC Guitar Camp covers beginning techniques, it is recommended that you have some guitar experience. The Session 4 Guitar program is open to students completing grades 6 through 12 and the Session 7 Guitar program is open to ages 21 and up.
