About This Activity
The International Music Camp offers three levels of Orchestra for all ages of string players: Cadet String Orchestra for younger players, Concert Orchestra for middle school string students, and Symphony Orchestra for high school students. Advanced string players of all ages may also audition for the Chamber (honor) Orchestra. The session includes two daily large-group rehearsals, sectionals, theory classes, master classes, chamber ensemble opportunities, and optional private lessons. String players who have completed grades 5 through 12 may participate. Violinists who attend IMC for orchestra week may also participate in the Fiddle Program for no additional charge. Please select the Orchestra & Fiddle program when registering. Wind and Brass players interested in playing with the orchestras must submit an audition recording by May 1, 2026. 2026 Audition materials are posted on the website. All wind and brass players must re-audition for participation in the orchestras. Percussion players interested in playing with the orchestras should register for the Mallet Percussion Program.
