About This Activity

This vibrant underwater world brought to the stage is a story of family, friendship and adventure! With memorable songs such as “Just Keep Swimming” and “Fish Are Friends Not Food”, Finding Nemo tells the story of an overprotective clownfish parent and an adventures clownfish kid that kicks off an epic adventure across the ocean! With all the favorite characters from the movie this week long camp will be full of underwater joy! WHICH CAMP IS RIGHT FOR MY CHILD? All camps are tailored for both beginners and seasoned young artists! Over the course of the camp, students will learn musical theatre or creative drama skills, learn to work as ensemble, and bring to life the story through using the tools of an actor: voice, body, and imagination. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN "Kids" and "Jr." TITLES? The only difference is length. It does not indicate that the material is for younger or older students. "Jr" titles are adapted to be an hour long final presentation. Vault Theatre's two-week long camp, The Newsies, is a Jr. title. The "Kids" titles are adapted to be 30-minute long final presentations. Vault Theatre's week-long camps are Kids titles. WHAT IS THE FINAL PERFORMANCE LIKE? Vault Theatre’s classes and camps are focused on the process of creating theatre as an ensemble. There will be a final, informal celebration of the work campers’ explored over the course of the camp. This is a workshop presentation, which means that they are limited to no props, costumes, or technical elements. Campers will be provided with a Vault Theatre t-shirt to wear during the final presentation.
