About This Activity
ATTENTION! CITs (Counselors in Training) are required to attend Teen Outdoor Leadership Camp. Please contact camp@piedmontwildlifecenter.org if you have questions. This registration is for CIT Is. If you are a CIT II, please email to confirm your spot. Come join us as part of our Homeschool Program and help your group have a great season! Engage with campers, partner with counselors, and lead activities as you grow in your own leadership skills. CITs will be mentored by our Homeschool Staff and Homeschool Coordinator so they can build up their confidence and competence and train to one day be a counselor at PWC. CITs should plan to arrive at 9AM and to leave at 3:30 PM so they can attend part of the morning and afternoon staff meetings and assist staff in preparing for the day and cleaning up. Weekly gatherings include stories, games, adventures in life science and wilderness skills, community building, leadership opportunities, and inspired learning following a course of study that builds week to week. Through their own experiences, homeschoolers will learn awareness of their surroundings and how to let the natural world be their teacher. There will be no homeschool on March 26th /28th or April 2nd/ 4th; please mark your calendars accordingly!
