Shotgun Skills 2 builds off of Shotgun Skills 1 so you need a solid foundation in understanding how your shotgun functions, working the action, and reloading procedures. Topics covered: - Malfunction clearance techniques. - Transition to handgun - Compressed gun shooting techniques - Multiple target engagement There will be numerous repetitions to practice what you are learning under the watchful eye of a Patriot Performance Shooting coach. Required Equipment - Rental Equipment Available Upon Request - Shotgun with a sling. 2 or 1 point tactical sling recommended. - 250 rounds training ammunition, bird shot is fine. - 20+ rounds of your self defense ammunition such as 00 or #4 buck - 15+ rounds of slug - 5 Dummy Rounds / Snap Caps which can be found on my website. - A pouch to carry loose rounds such as dump pouch, sling bag. - If you have tactical system for carrying spare rounds please bring. - Handgun - Holster - 25 rds handgun ammunition - Eye protection - Ear protection, electronic if recommended so you can clearly hear the instructor. - Note taking material - Water - Clothing appropriate for the weather. - Closed toe shoes. We are on grass - *No slings that hold ammunition* Please check the recommended gear section of my website for items you need for this class. Recommended items - Shotshell carrier on receiver - Shotshell carrier on/in stock - Shotshell carrier on battle belt - An Optic for your shotgun is recommended. If your shotgun uses chokes, please ensure that a choke appropriate for slug rounds is in the gun. If your gun cannot shoot slug grounds, please advise me of that at the beginning of the class.
