About This Activity

Description

Jumps, Leaps & Turns: Technique + Progressions | Ages 10+
This class focuses on building strong technique and making progress in jumps, leaps, turns, and other technical skills. Dancers will work on strength, flexibility, coordination, alignment, and conditioning while breaking skills down into achievable progressions. The focus of this class is that skills are teachable, goals are achievable, and progress comes from consistent, intentional training. Dancers will be encouraged to set individual goals, understand the mechanics behind their skills, and build the strength and technique needed to reach them.
This is a technique-only class and does not perform a dance in the recital. There is no recital costume or costume fee for this class.
Dancewear or athletic wear that is comfortable and easy to move in is required. Long hair should be pulled away from the face. Bare feet, dance socks, dance sneakers, ballet shoes, or jazz shoes are all appropriate for this class.
