The City of El Cajon Parks and Recreation Department welcomes you to our Fall into Learning Day Camps. Campers will have the benefit of two Recreation staff assisting with child supervision and distance learning.
· Fall Day Camp will differ from traditional Spring & Summer Camp formats in that the primary focus will be on Distance Learning. Staff will assist campers with their daily school assignments and ensure that campers attend scheduled class videos calls, such as Zoom meetings.
· Campers will be required to bring their own device (iPad, tablet, etc.) or other learning materials. Devices must come fully charged for the day and headphones are required. Campers will be responsible for the safe keeping their own devices and equipment. The City of El Cajon will assume NO responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged property.
· Learning schedules must be set by a teacher or parent, counselors are available to assist campers only, they will not be planning curriculum. Counselors will ensure that there are activities for campers that finish all their pre-assigned work for the day.
Extended Camp Care - Option to drop off at Camp between 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM and pickup between 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM. This is an optional service for an additional fee. You may select this option at checkout.
BASED ON THE NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS REGISTERED IN ACCORDANCE WITH COUNTY GUIDELINES, THE LOCATION OF YOUR CHILD'S CAMP MAY VARY BETWEEN HILLSIDE OR A NEIGHBORING RECREATION CENTER.
Standard Protocol: No parent or family members are allowed in the gym/facility/field; ONLY PARTICIPANTS. All participants will have their temperature taken accompanied by their parent/guardian dropping them off before entering the gym/facility/field. Any participant with a temperature of 100+ will need to wait 10 minutes before temperature recheck. If temperature is still 100+ participant will be sent home. Staff is required wear face covering during camp, optional for participants. Each camper will have an assigned area to place their personal belongings strategically spaced within their main camp room. Sanitized Equipment will be supplied for each participant. Rooms and equipment will be sanitized between rotations throughout the day. Please see the Camp Parent Information letter for additional information on camp guidelines.
