About This Activity
Intro to Filmmaking Camp will provide hands-on experience in visual storytelling, editing, and video production for rising 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th graders. This fun and intensive one-week course will help kids learn formative skills while working within teams that will allow them to specialize on a production that interests them. Experience a full week of immersive filmmaking from creative development all the way to post-production and editing! Kids will learn what it takes to build a story on film and screen at least one project in front of friends at our showcase on Friday. Whether you are an experienced filmmaker or a total newcomer, we promise that everyone will learn some new techniques and have a great time in this camp. Veteran PS 5th grade Humanities teacher, David Allen, brings back fan-favorite Filmmaking class to 2026 PS Summer!
