About This Activity
Young artists will have a blast exploring new techniques and a variety of imaginative projects, from creating a still life inspired by Paul Cézanne to cartooning a laid-back iguana relaxing in a hammock! Students will bring imagination to life as they draw a horse in a moonlit forest and build their artistic skills by designing an elaborate aquarium filled with exotic fish. Throughout the week, students will also experiment with a variety of mediums including pastels, create a vibrant baboon, and design their very own treasure map. By Friday, each artist will complete at least 8 unique artworks and take them home in a special portfolio to proudly share! Students will build on their drawing skills while also learning coloring techniques, blending, and color harmony using a variety of art mediums. Your child will have a blast and feel a great sense of accomplishment when they take home their own portfolio of artwork at the end of the week! Lessons change every week, register for one week or multiple weeks! Summer Camp Cancellation Policy: Cancellations before May 1st are fully refundable. Cancellations from May 1st - June 7th will receive a refund, less a $30 processing fee. Cancellations after June 7th are non-refundable. Make-up classes are not provided in the event your child is absent. Our summer camp will focus on the fundamentals of drawing, using a wide variety of mediums.
