Description
The East Howard Jaguars Competitive Cheer program will provide cheerleaders with the necessary skills, technique, and performance abilities to succeed in competitive cheer. We foster teamwork, discipline, and a passion for cheer while preparing our athletes for the challenges and excitement of competitions.
Must have cheer shoes from the following three brands (chasse, Nfinity, or kaepa). Shoes to be worn inside at practice only. $30 and above
All additional costs associated with competitions or travel would be paid by families (admission, travel, lodging) as outlined in a parent meeting prior to competition season. East Howard Jaguars’ Booster Club will be fundraising to assist with these costs. DO NOT REGISTER FOR SIDELINE CHEER IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO REGISTER FOR COMPETITIVE CHEER.

Season Details
The season runs from September to the end of April. Teams will either practice on M/W or Tu/Th. Weeknights are held at Bellows Spring ES, Thomas Viaduct MS or Long Reach HS.

Cheer Age groups (age determination is age as of August 1st, 2025)
Option 2: Fall/Winter Cheer Competitive Team: Registration deadline – July 28th, 2025

• Nine (9) Month commitment
• Price: Initial $200 fee will be due at registration, there will be an additional fee(s) issued at the season start date. (includes bi-weekly practices for fall and winter, tumbling lessons, and 5-6 competitions)
• Two (2) uniforms will be provided to athletes to borrow
• Mandatory practices will begin August 11th and run through April.
o For the month of August ONLY, practices will take place at Troy Park and run Mondays-Thursdays from 6-8pm
o Starting in September, practices will take place twice a week with a possible additional day for tumbling
o Practice locations will vary depending on team placement and will include Bellows Spring, Long Reach High, and Thomas Viaduct Middle.
o Exact practice/tumbling times and days will be released along with team placement.
• Team placements will be announced in late August
• Athletes are strategically placed on teams based on age, skill level, positive attitude, and the overall needs of the team. It is imperative that our parents/guardians trust our directors when it comes to team placement and ensuring that we create the most positive and successful experience for everyone involved.
• Athletes will perform at sideline jags football games for eight weeks in addition to their competition schedule

This is a deposit only. Full fee will run $1000.00 to $1200.00 per child.
