About This Activity
Description
Training is designed to prepare Junior Counselors (JRCs) for on-site field experiences. It is high-energy, interactive and hands-on. Mentors review the curriculum and teach JRCs how to effectively assist with activities and general administrative duties. Please note that JRCs who attended training but served at no field experience(s) in 2023 are considered new counselors in 2024 when registering. All new and returning JRCs must complete training prior to serving at any on-site field experience. REFUND & TRANSFER POLICIES ARE UNIQUE TO THE JRC PROGRAM ONLY, https://tinyurl.com/HCRPJR. If your child will need to bring medication with them to camp, please fill out the Medication Administration Authorization Form (Camps) found by clicking here: https://www.howardcountymd.gov/recreation-parks/forms-publications. After clicking link, got to "Camps, Classes, and Activities". It requires a doctor's signature, so please allow enough time for it to be complete before the start of camp.
