This is a HoCo 250 Sponsored Event. Unfulfilled Promises, Shifting Allegiances, and Black Freedom: Self Determination of Enslaved People During Three American Wars. Come listen to Keenan Holmes' presentation about the Maryland and greater Mid-Atlantic region's enslaved population. Learn more about their actions during war times in order to try and secure freedom. Hear about how African Americans escaped and fought during the Revolutionary War, The War of 1812 and the Civil War.
