Screenagers: Elementary School Age Edition, directed by physician-filmmaker Delaney Ruston, takes a deeply personal and insightful look into how technology shapes the lives of elementary-aged children. Through the lens of her own family and those of others, Ruston highlights the growing prevalence of smartwatches, video games, social media, and other digital pressures infiltrating young lives.
The documentary weaves personal narratives with expert insights, drawing from psychologists, authors, and brain scientists. It delves into challenges around excessive screen time, academic distractions, internet addiction, and early exposure to inappropriate content.
