About This Activity
This class will introduce students to the fundamentals of playing tunes on the Irish pennywhistle (tin whistle). It will focus on learning tunes by ear, ornamentation, and playing with other musicians. A whistle will be provided as part of the class materials at a cost of $10 made payable to the instructor, along with a cd of practice tunes. If you have your own key of D whistle, please let us know and bring it to class. Chuck Whitney will be co-teaching this class. No class on 4/23/26. Make-up date, if needed, 5/07/26.
