Spec Rec-Summer Tennis starts with understanding the game, then moves on to how to hold the racquet and how to move your arms and legs to strike the ball so it will go over the net. There is running, jumping, swinging, (the racquet), music and water breaks. If you want to learn to play tennis, please sign up.
Location: Enumclaw High School Tennis CourtsJune 6th - August 3rdThursdays 5:30-7pm and Saturday 9:30-11am.Do you want to learn to play tennis? Daryl Harper, Head Coach and USPTA Certified Professional, will teach you the game of tennis and how to play with our Special Needs Athletes! In Special Olympics, an "Athlete" is any player with a intellectual disability. A "Tennis Buddy" is called a "Unified Partner" and will learn and play alongside Athletes. Eventually, a Unified Partner will play on the same Doubles team with an Athlete against other "Unified Doubles teams". Unified Partners will learn the "5 Elements of a Groundstroke," both forehands and backhands and volleys and even serves.
