About This Activity
Inspired by the Greek goddess of wilderness and archery, this adventure will take teamwork, imagination, and real wilderness skills. Begin by creating a fantasy character to help you re-imagine who you can be and who you want to be. Are you crafty? Fierce? Mysterious? All of the above? Discover your unique self and explore what being a girl* means to you. Learn to use tools to craft a bow and arrow or a magical staff, harvest wild plants for food and medicine, pay attention to your intuition, and become one with mud and leaves. At Daughters of Artemis, you will enjoy a week of bonding with other girls and celebrating unique-ness. Be rowdy, be quiet, be silly, be yourself. *Daughters of Artemis is open to girls (including trans and cis girls) and non-binary, gender queer and gender-questioning kids
