About This Activity
Children in Nearby Nature's all outdoor preschool program enjoy nature discovery and adventure in our Learnscape Outdoor Classroom and in Alton Baker Park. Sensory exploration, cooperative activities, storytelling, garden discovery, earth art, nature science, and free time in our outdoor play spaces make every day both educational and fun. Through Wonder Keepers, young children develop a personal connection to the natural world, make new friends, and develop independence through outdoor exploring. An application is required for all enrollments. See nearbynature.org/wonder-keepers for our priority registration policy. This online registration will serve as your application. You will automatically be registered on our waitlist until we have confirmed your final enrollment. If your child is a new applicant, someone from our staff will contact you to set up an interview so we can discuss whether or not this all-outdoor, all-weather program is a good match for your child. If you are re-enrolling, we will contact you as needed. If you are applying for scholarship aid, no fee will be charged until we have confirmed your aid. Once your enrollment is confirmed, a minimum non-refundable deposit of $50 ($25 for scholarship applicants) per weekday session is required to hold your space. Full tuition is due three weeks before your session/s start (or immediately if you're enrolling mid-session). Programs happen Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30 am-12:30 pm at our Learnscape Outdoor Classroom in Alton Baker Park, rain or shine, for children 3-5 years old. You may request to register your child for one, two, or three days a week (as space is available). Flexible drop off happens 8:30-9 am and flexible pick up happens 12-12:30 pm. (No programs Friday, October 16th and Friday, November 27) Note that enrollment is ongoing and we will prorate your final fees due according to when you join the group, as space is available.
