Class: Safely Home Alone Dates: Two 1-hour classes on June 5 & June 12 Time: 9:30AM - 10:30AM Location: Eyota Volunteer Ambulance Building (753 Robert Ave, Eyota, MN 55934) Grades: 2nd Grade & Older Cost: $40 Description: Staying safe while being home alone is a big step for kids and parents. Grown-ups have to determine if their kiddos have the skills and maturity to handle being home alone and for what period of time. In this class kids will learn how to be safe while staying home alone for short periods of time. They will learn what to do in case of emergencies like stormy weather, fire safety, unexpected visitors, basic first aid, following house rules, dealing with siblings and more. Students will go home with information to continue the conversation at home to help decide if they are truly ready to be home alone.
