Advanced Composition WorkshopAugust 3 - 7, 20269 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Ages 13 - 18
Musically advanced high school students will be challenged and inspired during this full-day instrumental composition intensive. This workshop is designed to support the development of each participant’s individual compositional interests and aspirations while preparing them for an academic and professional career as a composer. Students will share creative ideas, refine their skills, and engage in performances and discussions of original works. The program will provide in-depth exploration of music theory concepts, orchestration techniques, and influential historical figures and compositions essential to the growth of an aspiring and diverse composer.
IMPORTANT: All applicants are required to submit a sample of one of their musical compositions. Submission form and more details are on camp webpage.
Online registration closes 3 business days before the first class. Registrations processed after the close date will incur a $10 late fee.
