This program consists of composition activities for students interested in scoring film, TV, games, and other media. By the end of the camp week, students will have an understanding of composing and developing themes, synchronizing music to media, music looping and layering for games, orchestration, and synthesis techniques. The week will culminate in a final presentation of student work.
What you should know to take this workshop: Basic understanding of treble and bass clef, basic understanding of music theory (scales, key signatures, time signatures). Experience playing an instrument and a love of movies, TV, and/or video games is helpful but not required. Participants may bring in pieces they are currently working on. Students are asked to bring their own wired headphones to camp each day.
