Explorations in Singing, ages 13-18Musical Theater!
Mondays, 6:45 - 7:45pmFebruary 24 - May 12, 2025 (10 weeks)Skip: Apr 14 & Apr 28
This class will introduce students to musical theater songs across genres, from Golden-Age to contemporary repertoire, while introducing fundamental singing techniques. Students will explore proper breathing techniques for breath support, vocal control, music reading, and sight-reading audition examples. Valuable performance and audition tips will also be introduced, in addition to group work on crafting their own audition song book. The class will culminate with a final in-class performance of songs learned in the course.
Students are welcome to repeat the class. New repertoire will be introduced each session!
