Mondays, 5:00 - 5:45pmSeptember 22 - December 8, 2025 (11 weeks)Skip: Nov 24
This class is an exploration of Musical Theater throughout history, from its historical beginnings as early as The Beggar’s Opera in 1728 through the contemporaries we know and love, including Disney musicals! This course will offer listening activities and song selections that will introduce students to Rodgers and Hammerstein, Lerner and Loewe, Stephen Sondheim, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and more.
Through our journey, the course will teach fundamental singing techniques, healthy vocal technique, and acting through song with musical interpretation and discussion. Valuable performance and audition tips will also be introduced. The class will culminate with a final in-class performance of songs explored in the course.
New repertoire will be introduced in each session!
