Join us for a week of survival skills and shenanigans in the foothills of the Cascades, at our overnight camp spot on Little Fall Creek. You’ll learn to build a debris shelter, ration your food, and keep improving your situation until rescue arrives. Practice fire making and cooking, basic plant ID, food finding, and “Trash MacGyver-ing.” Coal burn your own bowl and spoon, and craft primitive hunting tools like a bow, trap, or atl. Prepare to leave camp with some epic stories! Camp Survive will be held at a secluded spot at the foot of the Cascades, among grassy meadows and beautiful forests hung with lichen, and bordered by Little Fall Creek. This rustic location offers campers the opportunity to practice the essential outdoor skill of hardiness - as there is no running water, no showering facilities, and porta-potties for bathrooms. We will spend the week learning to embrace the elements of nature! Bring clothes that can get dirty, plenty of sunscreen and bug repellent, and a sturdy sense of adventure. Drop-off will be 9am on Monday morning at Mt Pisgah, as part of our usual day camp procedures. Campers will be transported by van to the site. At the end of the week families will get a glimpse of camp life when they come out to pick up their students on Friday at 4pm.
