Description
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. As a volunteer you will assist the YMCA staff with maintaining a safe, structured, and fun program for Child Watch, Kids Club, Camp and/or Sports participants.Tasks and activities may include:
- Coach kids the basic skills and rules of the sports outlined for the specific sessions. Sports include traditional and non-traditional such as; Basketball, Soccer, Football, Volleyball, Tennis, Lacrosse, Pickleball and many more.
- Curriculum and lesson plans will be provided.
- Teach participants the value of sports and teamwork through the core values of the YMCA.
- Assist the program staff in maintaining a safe environment for all.
