Ever wondered how an electric guitar is made? In the Build-a-Guitar Workshop, campers will get the hands-on experience of assembling their very own electric guitar from start to finish. Guided by instructor Jason Wagner, campers will learn about the parts of a guitar, how they work together, and the process of building and setting up an instrument. Throughout the workshop, campers will help assemble the body and neck, install hardware and electronics, and learn the basics of tuning and setup. Along the way, they’ll gain insight into how electric guitars produce sound and what makes each instrument unique. If time permits, campers will also receive a beginner guitar lesson, giving them the chance to plug in their newly built instrument and play their first riffs. This workshop is perfect for campers who are curious about music, instruments, engineering, and hands-on building. By the end of the session, each camper will leave with a deeper understanding of how guitars work—and the experience of helping build one. 🎸
