About This Activity
Description
This class combines jazz and lyrical dance styles with a focus on technique and developing skills such as leaps, jumps and turns. Dancers will begin each class with a warm up and stretching, adding skills in center and across the floor. Each week they will also add in jazz or lyrical choreography.
Attire: For female students we suggest form-fitting dance attire and skin tone jazz shoes. A leotard with skin tone tights and/or form-fitting leggings are suggested. For male students we suggest a solid color t-shirt, black pants, and black jazz shoes.
October 28 is Theme Week! Wear a costume to celebrate Halloween.
Picture Days (optional) are Jan 30 & 31. An email will sent to participants parents with picture day signup information and payment options as the picture dates get closer.
Rehearsal/recital weekend is March 13 & 14. Both the rehearsal and recital are at Oregon High School Performing Arts Center. Exact times for the rehearsal and recital are TBA. The recital costume is included in the program fee.
Please note - a per person fee will be charged to attend the recital. Stay tuned for further details sent via email regarding information on purchasing recital tickets.
No class on November 25, December 23 & 30.
CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY: A full refund will be issued when a program is cancelled by the Recreation Department. Cancellations made after registering and prior to the start date of an activity will have a $5.00 administrative charge deducted from your refund. Refunds or credits will not be issued if you cancel out of an activity less than five working days from the activity start date. No refunds will be given once a class or program has started. Please note that online convenience fees are non-refundable.
