Description
Jazz classes introduce dancers to jazz technique and stylistic choreography. Students will take terms and skills learned in ballet and discover how they are changed to show a sharper and edgier side to dance as well as explore new skills and vocabulary associated with jazz dance.Jazz attire: For female students please wear a black leotard, skin tone tights and skin tone jazz shoes. For male students we suggest a solid color t-shirt, black pants, and black jazz shoes.
October 28 is Theme Week! Wear a costume to celebrate Halloween.
Picture Days (optional) are Jan 30 & Jan 31. An email will sent to participants parents with picture day signup information and payment options as the picture dates get closer.
Rehearsal/recital weekend is March 13 & 14. Both the rehearsal and recital are at Oregon High School Performing Arts Center. Exact times for the rehearsal and recital are TBA. The recital costume is included in the program fee.
Please note - a per person fee will be charged to attend the recital. Stay tuned for further details sent via email regarding information on ordering recital tickets.
No class on November 25, December 23 & 30.
CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY: A full refund will be issued when a program is cancelled by the Recreation Department. Cancellations made after registering and prior to the start date of an activity will have a $5.00 administrative charge deducted from your refund. Refunds or credits will not be issued if you cancel out of an activity less than five working days from the activity start date. No refunds will be given once a class or program has started. Please note that online convenience fees are non-refundable.
