About This Activity
Description
Step into the role of a real paleontologist in this geology-powered science day camp! We’ll classify and build a rock collection, investigate how crystals form and crack open a geode, conduct a fossil excavation, and engineer a volcanic eruption while learning the earth science behind it. Along the way, we practice observation, classification, and scientific reasoning as we explore how fossils and rock layers help scientists understand Earth’s history.
Campers should bring lunch, snacks and a water bottle.
Grade refers to upcoming academic year.
