Theme: Teen WeekExamples of Fieldtrips and Activities*: Archery, Flagstaff Extreme Adventure Course, Ice Skating, Fort Tuthill Military Museum Tour, Bowling, and Blacksmithing.*Fieldtrips and Activities may change depending on weather, participant interest, and other factors. The examples are provided simply to provide an idea of the types of things campers may do.



Coconino County Parks and Recreation is excited to accept registrations for the 2024 Outdoor Adventure Summer Day Camp!Registration will open on Monday, March 11th, 2024.
Remember the old days when kids went outside and explored? Bring those days back and register your child for the Outdoor Adventure Summer Day Camp. This year we plan to offer seven weeklong sessions, each with its own engaging theme! You are welcome to sign up your camper(s) for a single weeklong session, multiple weeklong sessions that pique their interest, or for the entire seven weeks of camp!
Important Information:Campers must have lunch, snack, a water bottle, closed toe shoes, and sunscreen. Make sure items are stored in a backpack with the camper's name on it. It is recommended that campers do not bring expensive electronic devices such as smartphones, smartwatches, or cameras to camp because they could be damaged. Please do not drop campers off before 8:45am in the morning and make sure to pick up campers by 4:00pm at the end of the day.

Summer Camp Specific Withdrawal/Cancellation Policy Please review carefully before enrolling!
Withdrawal:-Withdrawals occurring 10 or more days prior to program start date - 100% refund minus the credit card processing fee (if applicable) and a $6.00 administrative processing fee (per withdrawal).-Withdrawals occurring between 5 and 9 days prior to program start date - 50% refund minus the credit card processing fee (if applicable) and a $6.00 administrative processing fee (per withdrawal).-Withdrawals initiated 5 or fewer days prior to program start date - No refund
Refunds will not be issued for missed days within a session, which is typically one week, (i.e. illnesses, vacations, etc.) and missed dates cannot be made up. Participants removed from programs due to disciplinary reasons will not receive a refund.
If paying by credit card, the refund (minus the non-refundable credit card processing fee) will be credited to the card used to enroll in the program. In some situations, this may not be possible, and we will provide the refund (minus the non-refundable credit card processing fee) in the form of a check. If paying by cash or check we will provide the refund in the form of a check. Please expect 2-4 weeks for delivery of refund checks.
Cancellation:Any participant enrolled in a program cancelled by Coconino County Parks and Recreation will be offered a refund in one of two ways:1. If paying by credit card, a full refund (minus the non-refundable credit card processing fee) may be credited to the card used to enroll in the program. In some situations, this may not be possible, and we will move forward with option 2.2. A full refund will be given in the form of a check. Please expect 2-4 weeks for delivery.
Transfers:Transferring from one program to another can be done for no additional fee if initiated 10 days prior to the start time of program initially enrolled in.

Covid-19 Protocols:-Most activities will occur outdoors at Fort Tuthill County Park. -The maximum number of campers per session is 15.-Staff and campers will be encouraged wash their hands often and hand sanitizer will be available during fieldtrips and outings.-Masks are optional (this is subject to change if Covid-19 cases increase significantly in Coconino County). -We will follow guidance provided by Coconino County Health and Human Services in the event that Covid-19 cases surge. Additional health and safety policies may be implemented as we approach the start of camp and/or during camp.

Campers must have:

  • lunch

  • water bottle
  • closed toe shoes
  • sunscreen

Make sure items are stored in a back pack with camper's name on it. Campers will be assigned a bin to secure/isolate their belongings while at camp.

There is a non-refundable credit card processing fee applied at check-out. Skip the processing fee by registering and paying with cash or a check at the Parks & Recreation Office, located at Fort Tuthill County Park.
