About This Activity
Advanced 1 (Grade 9) Ballet is for students in at least their 10th Grade of School, or aged between 15-18. Students MUST have passed the Advanced Foundations RAD Exam to enroll in Advanced 1. This class is for students currently enrolled in k-12 classes ONLY. The class rate is $12.50/h at 5 hours per week for 33 weeks of class (Aug. 26, 2024 - May 14, 2025). The Nutcracker Ballet is Dec. 6 & 7. The Spring Performance is May 17. The class schedule is as follows: Monday 7:00-8:00pm (Studio A) Monday 8:00-9:00 (Studio B) (PBT Conditioning; Required for Adv 1 & Adv 2 Students) Tuesday 7:00-8:30pm (Studio A) Wednesday 7:00-8:30pm (Studio A) Feminine Attire: Choice of leotard in Black, Navy, Royal Blue or Purple (Exam standards); tights; ballet shoes; pointe shoes. Masculine Attire: Sleeveless or short sleeve white leotard; footed or stirrup tights in Navy; white ankle socks; white ballet shoes. All hair should be up in a bun with flyaways tucked, or slicked back with flyaways tucked. Students are required to bring a water bottle to class. Advanced 1 students interested in renting a locker should add that on through their session options. Students will be required to sign a Locker Rental Agreement before receiving their key. Students must abide by the Locker Rental Agreement for the duration of their usage.
