About This Activity
Grade 1B Ballet is for students in 2nd Grade of Elementary School, or aged around 7. The class rate is $14/h at 2 hours per week for 33 weeks (Aug. 26, 2025 - May 14, 2026). The Nutcracker is December 5 & 6, 2025. The Spring Performance is May 16, 2026. The class will meet twice a week for a total of two hours: Tuesday 3:30-4:30pm (Studio A) Thursday 3:30-4:30pm (Studio B). Feminine Attire: Regulation RAD Leotard; tights; ballet shoes; character shoes; no tuts (soft skirts ok). Masculine Attire: White t-shirt; tight-fitting dark shorts; white ankle socks; white or black ballet shoes; character shoes. All hair should be up in a bun with flyaways tucked, or slicked back with flyaways tucked. Students are required to bring a water bottle to class. PLEASE NOTE: The Grade 1 RAD Exam in March of 2025 is used to determine soloist positions of Clara and Fritz in the Fall 2025 Nutcracker Ballet. If your student is interested in being a soloist, they MUST take the Grade 1 RAD Exam this year. Please contact the office with any questions.
