About This Activity
Jump Start Pickleball is designed to create a fun and engaging Pickleball program for beginners, ages 6-11. It focuses on basic skills, fun activities, and plenty of movement to keep their attention. The 6-week program will introduce kids to the fundamentals of Pickleball in a fun and engaging environment. Each session will last 1 hour, providing ample time for instruction, practice, and games. Throughout the program, children will learn the basics of Pickleball, including the rules of the game and how to use the necessary equipment. They will also develop essential skills such as grip, stance, footwork, serve, groundstrokes and strategies. Participants will need to provide their own paddle and water bottle. Additionally, participants will be required to wear court appropriate tennis shoes (no slides, slippers, or crocs permitted). WE WILL BE PLAYING OUTDOORS AT THE PICKELBALL COURTS.
