Description
Travel back in time this week, all the way to the Mesozoic Era! We will have a roaring good time learning about the animals alive then, and how we know about them today- even some that lived right here! Learn abut some animals living here now that share some legacy with their scaly relatives.
Pre-registration required. For kids who completed Kindergarten and 1st grade last school year.
Summer Natural History Adventure class times: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Children may be dropped off beginning at 8:45 a.m. The Nature Center will not be responsible for your child prior to this time. Drop-off and pickup will be at the Hardwicke Interpretive Center. 3:15 p.m. for all ages.
Be sure to have your child wear shoes &clothes that can get wet and dirty, as we will be spending most of our time in the great outdoors. Long pants are required for Adventures due to the abundance of poison ivy and greenbrier vine on the Refuge.
Apply sunscreen and bug spray before your child arrives
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT LIST:
- Long pants
- Backpack
- Sturdy walking shoes/boots
- SnacksHat or cap
- Sunburn preventative
- Insect repellent
- Water or fluid replacement (2) No GlassSack lunch
For those classes that involve water, we recommend your child bring shoes that can get wet and muddy (old tennis shoes are ideal) and an extra change of clothes and shoes. If you have any questions, please call 817-392-7410.
Cancellations: The Nature Center requests a minimum number of three participants for a course to make; siblings count as 1 person. If the minimum is not met, a full refund with be issued or applied to another course. Cancellations or change of course schedule requires one week advance notice. Any credit will be applied to another course. NO OTHER REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED.
