About This Activity
Whether a novice or practiced birder, this camp experience offers something for any young bird-lover. Campers will meet at various local birding hotspots, like Garret Mountain, Ramapo Reservation, and the Celery Farm to hone their birding skills and engage with community science apps like Merlin and eBird, as well as learn from the experts about ID using field markings, silhouettes, and wing shape. Binoculars and a scope will be provided, but campers are welcome to bring their own birding equipment, including cameras.
