About This Activity
Description
Join instructor Walter White in the Japanese art of bamboo fencing. Kendo builds endurance and fitness, helps develop mental discipline, all while teaching respect and honor. Kendo also emphasizes etiquette in all facets of training and is appropriate for all ages to learn. *Pre-Requisite - Completion of entire month in Beginner Kendo Martial Arts.Instructor White holds the rank of Yondan (4th degree black belt) in Kendo and has trained in this form for over 30 years.
Suggested attire and equipment needed for class: clothing that you feel comfortable moving in and a Shinai (bamboo sword).
*$30 supply fee paid directly to the instructor at the start of your first class (to cover cost of instructor purchasing Shinai-bamboo sword.) Supply fee only needs to be paid once. If you decide to continue class for another month, you will not be obligated to pay the supply fee.
