About This Activity
Description
July 14th through July 18th | 8:30a-12p | Williamson County Animal CenterDuring this exciting, week long "ed-venture," campers will spend time immersed in everything animal! Campers will partake in animal-related education activities, including games, crafts, guest speakers, and more! During their time with us your camper will learn about pet care basics, being a responsible pet guardian, and how to align choices with their values to help make our community a safer and more compassionate place for all animals.Instructor: Williamson County Animal Control Staff
Camp Basics:•Be sure your camper is dressed appropriately for a day in the shelter and animal interaction. Closed toed shoes are required.
•Because of our interactions with animals and the environment of the shelter, we are unable to accommodate any animal and/or food allergies participants may have.
•Time in our adoption center is very limited and closely monitored. Participants will have daily opportunities for contact with dogs, cats, or critters, but shouldn't expect to spend significant time with animals.
•Snacks will not be provided. Campers are welcome to bring a snack from home to have during a short break mid-morning. No refrigerator available to store snacks.
•Campers who bring cell phones with them to camp may only use their phones to contact parents in the case of an emergency. Calling or texting during activities will not be permitted.
Participant Behavior:While at our programs, all participants are expected to treat other participants, WCAC staff, and animals with respect and compassion. Behavior guidelines will be reviewed with participants. Children and adults who are consistently unable to follow these guidelines may be asked to leave or may be dismissed for the remainder of the session. No refunds will be available to campers who are dismissed for behavioral reasons.
We have zero tolerance regarding fighting or using an object as a weapon. Violation of these policies is grounds for immediate dismissal from camp. No refunds will be available to campers who are dismissed for a violation of these policies.
*All registration cancellations must be submitted in writing no later than 1 week prior to the start of the program. No credits or transfers will be processed less than 1 week before the date the program is scheduled to begin.
