This class will highlight the fun, creative, and skill-building aspects of improvisation through:• Focus on Fun & Creativity: The course emphasizes theater games and activities that foster spontaneity and imaginative thinking.• Building Foundational Improv Skills: Work on interpretation and storytelling skills and learning core concepts like "yes, and...", active listening, and scene work.• Developing Confidence: Provides a safe and supportive environment for teens to express themselves and take creative risks.• Enhancing Communication & Social Skills: Improves teamwork, collaboration, and the ability to interact effectively with others. Our class will work together to come up with a name for their improv troupe. • Encouraging Self-Expression: Helps teens find their voice and navigate challenging situations through playful exploration.• Performance: Our 10-week class session will culminate in an improv show to demonstrate skills learned and ability to make up a show right before the audience’s eyes at the College Grove Artsitorium on Monday, December 1, 2025.
