In this engaging session, students will explore important aspects of Indigenous history and culture. Guided lessons introduce concepts such as identity, sovereignty, treaties, assimilation, reservation systems, and self‑determination in a clear, accessible way.Students will also take a closer look at major historical milestones and modern‑day topics, including cultural preservation, land use, and examples of Indigenous advocacy and resilience. Activities encourage learners to think critically, build cultural awareness, and approach each topic with respect and curiosity.At the conclusion of the course, each student will take home a portfolio highlighting their projects and progress.
