Teen Corps of Frederick County Empowering teens. Building leaders.Program Overview Teen Corps is a year‑round youth leadership and service program for teens ages 13–18 who want to build real‑world skills, gain service‑learning experience, and make a positive impact in Frederick County. The program offers a welcoming, inclusive environment where teens can grow their confidence, connect with peers, and participate in meaningful community service.
Beginning September 2026, participants can engage in opportunities such as supporting county‑wide events, assisting with environmental stewardship projects, and contributing to community-focused initiatives. Examples include helping families celebrate at the annual S’mores with Santa event or maintaining pollinator gardens at Utica District Park. Teen Corps operates on an ongoing basis, allowing teens to join when they are ready and participate in the opportunities that best match their interests.
Participation in Teen Corps supports FCPS Student Service-Learning (SSL) requirements, and all eligible program hours may be applied toward students’ SSL totals.
Registering for Teen Corps does not commit your teen to any specific date, time, or location. Enrollment simply adds you to the Teen Corps email list, where you will receive regular updates about upcoming opportunities, sign‑up links, and available transportation options from various locations throughout the county. You may request to withdraw from the program or email list at any time.
Join today and empower your teen to grow as a leader, serve their community, and help support Frederick County’s commitment to engagement, stewardship, and a vibrant future for all residents.
