In this hands-on workshop, participants will explore how early Americans used locally available plants, roots, bark, and insects to produce the rich natural dyes that colored their clothing and textiles. Participants will experiment with preparing dye baths, practice traditional dyeing techniques, and create their own naturally dyed textile samples to take home.
