During this program, your 30 - 36 month old child will practice skills that will help him/her prepare for preschool. We will focus on separating from a caregiver, turn-taking with peers, following directions in a group, imitating actions during circle time and having fun with friends. Our daily schedule includes free play, circle time, art, movement, snack and story time. This inclusive group is taught by staff from the Frederick County Infants and Toddlers Program. Caregivers are required to stay on the premises. Please only register for one session as space is limited. If your child has participated in a Get Ready for Preschool group before, your child’s name will be placed on a waiting list. In an attempt to provide equal opportunities to families in Frederick County, groups will be filled with first time participants and then the waiting list will be used to fill groups as needed.
The Open House for the class will take place on August 29th at 9 AM at the Frederick County Health Dept. Classroom.
