The Frederick County Sheriff's Office is partnering with Frederick County Parks and Recreation to offer a Junior Deputy Academy for the children of Frederick County. This 4 hour program provides kids ages 5-11 with a close-up look at Law Enforcement and tools of the trade. Children will have the opportunity to learn what it is like to be a police officer by participating in hands on activities and having a chance to see equipment and watching a K-9 demonstration. Participants will learn about evidence collection, bicycle safety, physical fitness, and other important topics. Participants must be prepared to be outdoors the entire time.
