This interactive homeschool class, with Ms. Esther and her service dog Coco, introduces students to the world of table top role-playing through Dungeons and Dragons, where imagination, storytelling, teamwork, and problem solving come together. Students will create unique characters, explore fantasy settings, and work collaboratively to complete quests, solve puzzles, and over come challenges guided by the game master. Throughout the course, students develop skills in creative writing, communication, critical thinking, math (through game play mechanics like dice rolls and probability), and cooperative decision making. Emphasis is placed on teamwork, respectful collaboration, and creative expression as students learn how their choices shape the story. This class provides a fun structured environment where students can build confidence, strengthen social skills and engage in imaginative storytelling through gameplay.
