This session offers an engaging exploration of African American history, from early foundations through the Civil Rights Movement and into contemporary social issues. Students will learn key terms and concepts that support meaningful discussions about historical and present-day inequalities and the ways communities have responded to them over time.Through interactive activities such as a “Living Timeline,” visual analyses, and age‑appropriate multimedia resources, participants will examine the historical roots and lasting impacts of major events. Students will also explore modern social topics through guided discussions, data interpretation, video content, and creative projects.This course is Part 2 of a full‑year homeschool curriculum (Part 1 is Homeschool Native American History STEM). At the end of the session, students will receive a portfolio showcasing their learning and projects.
