The STEM Workshop for Indigenous Girls+ is an exciting, fully funded, four-day program taking place at UNB Fredericton from May 20–23, 2025. This workshop is designed to inspire and empower Indigenous girls through hands-on STEM activities, cultural experiences, and mentorship opportunities. Participants will engage in interactive science and engineering activities, connect with Indigenous women mentors in STEM, and explore career pathways in a supportive and engaging environment. A special highlight of the program includes a guided tour of the Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station, where participants will see real-world STEM applications and meet industry professionals. Students will travel with a chaperone, and all travel costs, accommodations, and meals will be covered. The workshop is open to Indigenous girls in Grade 9, with Grades 10-12 also welcome to apply. Space is limited to 30 participants, and applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
