About This Activity
This week we will have fun creating and experimenting with various boats and bridges at the beautiful Frost Gully Brook. Kids will be invited to design and build different types of small watercraft using materials from nature and test their buoyancy and durability as we send them downstream. We will experiment with making miniature bridges and testing their strength and flexibility. Participants will play with the principles of buoyancy, density, and engineering through trial and error while having lots of fun playing in nature. Note: Participants should be 8 years old by August 31 in order to participate in this program.
