About This Activity
Students will go to the Shotgun Players to see and analyze "Sunday in the Park with George" by Stephen Sondheim. The play fictionalizes the life of George Seurat and his famous painting. We will leave towards the end of the school day and eat dinner together as a class, mindful of everyone's dietary restrictions. We will be examining the play's similarities to Into the Woods and Sondheim's tendencies and goals as an artist. Participation is restricted to students of Mr. Betcher's "Authors Study" course.
