About This Activity
Advisor: Artitaya Taghvaei Email: amy@afterschoollife.org Students will learn basic vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, and cultural foundations of American Sign Language (ASL). Students will build their ASL vocabulary in a fun & interactive environment. They will learn recommended first signs while discussing the benefit of using ASL. They will also learn how to integrate sign with everyday life. Learning sign language is like learning other foreign language. It helps enhance your child’s cognition ability, memory, small motor skill, and visual ability as this is a visual-focused language.
